Joining with the Technical, Institutional and Finance Managers of the electric cooperatives (EC) in the country, CAPELCO representative participated in the meeting aimed at establishing common understanding of salient guidelines governing the conduct of district elections for EC <\/a><\/span>Directors. Taking off from the available provisions of Republic Act 10531 (Electric Power Industry Reform Act), its Implementing Rules and Regulations and the NEA Memorandum No. 2014-019 and other subsequent policy issuances of NEA, the mandated members of the Screening Committee was able to clarify some issues and concerns which categorically addressed doubts and confusion in the implementation of the guidelines. Through a workshop, the participants crafted common templates and forms and it is envisioned that those forms and templates shall serve as the standard to be adopted by all ECs in the country.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
