The Information Education and Communication (IEC) campaign being conducted by Board President Engr. Salvador A. Asis is a required activity by the National Electrification Administration for Board of Directors to conduct at least one IEC in the district that he represents. CAPELCO however, expanded the activity by visiting every barangay in their district not only to ask them of their concerns with CAPELCO but also to verify whether the priorities identified in the previous rounds of barangay visitation have been acted upon.
Clearly, most of the barangays visited confirmed that those concerns have been addressed and as a gesture of continuity, the visit also asked them of additional concerns and committed to prioritize those that have not been addressed. It was also an opportune time for CAPELCO to answer basic queries about its programs, procedures, services and the root cause of the widespread power interruption in the first week of January 2024.
