The Department of Energy (DOE), in order to ensure that power is adequate and uninterrupted, hosted a virtual conference to assess the actual power situation in Panay, Negros and Guimaras islands. DOE also updated the participating stakeholders of the status of their ongoing projects focused mainly on energy generation. These projects are aimed at increasing the capacity and improving the transmission related infrastructure so as not to experience the widespread intrerruption that adversely affected business and households in Western Visayas.
