In order to ensure that no electricity at the areas directly affected by fire, CAPELCO personnel proceeded to the scene and put off power to make sure that people shall be safe from being electrocuted. They also stayed at the site to monitor that electric poles, wires and other distribution assets of CAPELCO are kept secured. In particular, they monitored the 69KV sub transmission line located just across the street where the incident happened and to alert the office should there was a need to have it shut down.
