Director Mitchelle John B. Patricio of District III (Pilar and President Roxas) expressed his gratitude to the Punong Barangays of Pilar for giving him the opportunity to meet with them and listen to their concerns relating to the services of CAPELCO. He also introduced CAPELCO personnel who joined him in the meeting and explained that they are part of the management that executes policy instruction of the Board of Director and the one directly involved in the implementation of CAPELCOs program in term of its financial, institutional and technical operation.
Annually, each member of the Board of Director of an electric cooperative is being required by the National Electrification Administration (NEA) to conduct at least one Information, Education Campaign (IEC) in the district that they represent. He explained however, it is also the intention of the IEC to gather feedback from the member-consumer-owners (MCOs) about their concerns as to the programs of CAPELCO, power interruption, bills, rates and the like. He explained that most of these programs, schedules, rates and other major announcements are being published in CAPELCOโs social media page.
Through an open forum, the Punong Barangays of Pilar shared their concerns, asked questions and listed actionable concerns that they have with CAPELCO. It was also explained that those actionable concerns will be inspected in order to look into what are the appropriate things to do with it. CAPELCO also campaigned with the Punong Barangays to help them resolve the right of way issues during line clearing, pole relocation and line extension.
CAPELCO personnel who joined Director Mitchelle John B. Patricio were Area Manager Jennel V. Javellana, MSD Supervisor Rey Cordenillo, Planning and Design Head Francisco Basques, District Engineer Engr. Clark Alaro, BAPA Foreman Bemboy Dellota and MSD Staff John Paul Cartujano.
