As a former member of the Sangguniang Bayan and currently as EC Director representing District IX (Cuartero and Dumarao), Director Moises M. Paligumba, Jr, was warmly welcomed by the Punong Barangays of Cuartero during their monthly meeting earlier today. In turn, Director Paligumba also expressed his appreciation of the opportunity given to him and to a team of CAPELCO personnel to conduct an Information, Education Campaign (IEC) required of them annually by the National Electrification Administration (NEA).
He announced that this IEC activity shall also serve as venue for CAPELCO to gather feedback from the member-consumer-owners (MCOs) relative to concerns, inquiries, procedures and services of the Cooperative because it endeavors to address these concerns or explain why these things happens.
The open forum that ensued was able to bring up concerns of the barangays related to solutions to recurring power interruptions, line extensions, rehabilitation of kilowatt hour meters, BAPA concerns and other services such as rentals of transformers. It was announced that these concerns are being documented and will be inspected by the designated CAPELCO engineers so that corresponding solutions will be carried out.
In addition, CAPELCO also campaigned for line clearing operation and resolutions of the rights of way issues to which the Punong Barangays committed to help out. Application forms for the non-4Ps beneficiaries of the lifeline discount rate was also distributed and they were oriented on the procedure on how to apply. Director Paligumba also announced and invited them to the forthcoming Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA) on April 6, 2024 at Capiz Gymnasium, Villareal Stadium, Roxas City. Finally, he distributed electric fans for each of the barangay as a token of his appreciation to the support of the barangay to CAPELCO where the funds used to defray such was taken from the Cooperative Development Projects (CDP) of the Cooperative.
