An inter-agency conference was convened by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) to vigorously push the campaign for road clearing as contained in DILG Memorandum Circular 2024-053 entitled Nationwide Implementation of the Barangay Road Clearing Operations Assessment Validation and Recognition under the Bagong Pilipinas Program.
The meeting produce tangible and actionable agenda involving the participation of the different agencies present during the meeting. On the part of CAPELCO, it was explained that the relocation of poles affected by the road widening project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is ongoing but the poles that remained unrelocated was largely due to the telecommunications and cable TV wires attached to it. CAPELCO assured the participants that it is in touch with these companies for the eventual completion of line relocation.
CAPELCO was represented by Mr. Rey T. Cordenillo, Membership Services Division (MSD) Supervisor in this meeting.
