Reason: Burned grounding cable at Lawaan Substation, Lawaan, Roxas City
Chronology of Time and Areas Affected:
6:54 PM to 6:55 PM – Tripping off of feeder 1R, 2R, 3R, 5R, 7R and 8R (Areas affected: Feeder 1R – Roxas Avenue, Punta Tabuc, Cagay, Sibaguan, Balijuagan, Talon, Barangay IX kag portion sang Barangay X kag Dinginan, Feeder 2R – Milibili, Malipayon Village, Tiza, Feeder 3R – Fuentes Drive to San Roque Street kag San Roque Extension Feeder 5R – Bolo, Lanot, Cabugao, Jumaguicjic, San Jose kag Lonoy
Feeder 6R – Teodoro Arcenas Trade Center, San Roque Extension and Hemingway, Feeder 7R – Pueblo de Panay to include Robinsons, Roxas City PNP and Feeder 8R – Lawaan, Arcabalo Bolo, Pangpang Bolo and Dinginan
7:29 PM to 8:20 PM – Power off of 5R and restoration where at 8:20 PM the following areas already has power (Bolo, Lanot, Cabugao, Jumaguicjic, San Jose and Lonoy)
7:29 PM – 8R and 7R still has no power
Advisory was made that emergency repair at Lawaan Substation is necessary and a post was made that it will be made between 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM. In actual, the emergency repair only took 29 minutes from 9:06 PM to 9:37 PM. Areas affected are as follows;
• Feeder 1R – Roxas Avenue, Punta Tabuc, Cagay, Sibaguan, Balijuagan, Talon, Barangay IX kag portion sang Barangay X kag Dinginan
• Feeder 2R – Milibili, Malipayon Village, Tiza
• Feeder 3R – Fuentes Drive to San Roque Street kag San Roque Extension
• Feeder 5R – Bolo, Lanot, Cabugao, Jumaguicjic, San Jose and Lonoy
• Feeder 7R – Pueblo de Panay to include Robinsons, Roxas City PNP
• Feeder 8R – Lawaan, Arcabalo Bolo, Pangpang Bolo and Dinginan
The actual power interruption as compared to the scheduled turned out to be more advantageous to the MCOs. Work was completed earlier and power was restored immediately.
