Apart from the agenda scheduled for the meeting, Acting General Manager Engr. Edgar D. Diaz reported that CAPELCO was invited by the Municipality of Tapaz relative to concerns on power services in the municipality. He explained that it was an opportunity for CAPELCO to explain the technical aspects of its operation that has adversely affected the distribution of power, the ongoing initiatives to address recurring problems and to request assistance in the line clearing activities and resolutions of right-of-way problems.
He also underscored the need to be pro-active and to provide stop gap measures to prevent small problems from becoming bigger. He also encouraged the review of existing protocols to keep it attuned to the fast changing technical landscape involving delivery of services to the member-consumer-owners (MCOs). More impetus was given to the role of the District Engineers expected to provide more solutions to power distribution in their assigned areas. Updates was also given on the preparation in the upcoming Electrification Day scheduled on August 24, 2024.
