In line with the celebration of the National Cooperative Month and Mental Health Awareness Month, a virtual conference was participated by Employees of CAPELCO and other Electric Cooperatives (ECs) in the Philippines. Hosted by the Philippine Rural Electric Cooperatives Association, Inc. (PhilRECA), Mr. Jose Raul A. Saniel, PHILRECA President delivered his opening remarks and welcomed all participating ECs. The half day seminar focused on topics about “Energize Your Workplace: Fostering a Culture of Health through Physical Activity and Creating a culture of Inclusivity: Mental Health for all Generations in the Workplace.
The speaker underscored that employee who are physically active report less illness and recover more quickly from the illnesses they do get. Employees who engage in physical activity have reported greater enjoyment of their work, improved concentration and mental alertness, and improved cooperation and rapport with colleagues.
Meanwhile, investing in mental health seminars is a vital step toward nurturing a resilient workforce. The ultimate goal is to create environments where employees feel valued, understood, and empowered to thrive. Conducting such activity can help enhance productivity, alleviate stress and anxiety, allowing employees to concentrate better on their work.
In closing, Atty. Janine Depay- Colingan, PhilRECA Executive Director and General Manager conveyed her message of gratitude to all electric cooperatives who continuously supporting PHILRECA in its programs and future endeavors.
