CAPELCO held a briefing for members of the District Election Committee (DECOM) and Precinct Election Committee (PECOM) at Cuartero Central School for the upcoming election for Director of District IX (Cuartero & Dumarao). The briefing aimed to inform officers about the conduct of the district elections, as mandated by Republic Act 10531 and relevant guidelines.
Board President Engr. Salvador A. Asis emphasized the importance of quality policymakers in institutions, highlighting the rigorous selection process for electric cooperative board members. He praised the participating teachers for their service.
During the open forum, Dir. Roel Roque Martinez, member of the Election Committee invited officers to attend the upcoming Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA) to address their major concerns. The management acknowledged queries and promised prompt action.
Dir. Mitchelle John Patricio, member of the Election Committee recognized teachers’ efforts, emphasizing the importance of district election in giving member-consumer-owners a voice in the board.
Director Moises M. Paligumba Jr., the lone candidate, thanked the officers and promised to serve District IX(Cuartero & Dumarao).
Engr. Renato G. Jison, OIC- ISD Manager, appreciated attendees and wished for a peaceful election on February 8, 2025.
The guidelines for the District Elections was explained by Mr. Denver F. Albao, OIC- Membership Services Division Supervisor and t Mr. Jose Augie Abao, MSD, Educ. Promotion Section, Head discussed the paraphernalia and forms to be used during election.
