CAPELCO CELEBRATES NATIONAL WOMEN’S MONTH

Today marked a special day for the women employees of Capiz Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CAPELCO) as they celebrated the National Women’s Month.

The celebration, held at the CAPELCO office, aimed to honor and recognize the contributions and achievements of Filipino women from all walks of life. With the theme: “Marilag na Mandirigma ng Liwanag: Maagap, Matatag, may Paninindigan.”

Women employees of CAPELCO gathered for a virtual program initiated by the Philippine Rural Electric Cooperatives Association (PHILRECA), which included two resource Speakers who talked about certain topics-
Ms. Bridgette San Pedro discussed strategies on Financial Management & Ms. Samantha Valderama shared insights on the role of empowered women and their vital contributions to the energy industry.Part of the activity was the virtual fun games and raffle draws.

CAPELCO women employees received free lunch as a symbol of gratitude for their time and effort of attending the said activity.

The celebration was not just a tribute to women’s achievements but also a reminder of the importance of promoting gender equality and empowering women in all aspects of life.

By celebrating National Women’s Month, CAPELCO reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and recognizing the vital role that women play in the organization and in society as a whole.
