CAPELCO ACHIEVES GREEN EC RATING FOR 2024

Capiz Electric Cooperative (CAPELCO) has been rated as a “Green EC” by the National Electrification Administration (NEA) for 2024, as announced by Acting General Manager Engr. Edgar D. Diaz during the 4th AGM Monthly Meeting.
The Green EC rating is a testament to CAPELCO’s excellent performance in technical, financial, and institutional operations. CAPELCO consistently met all Key Performance Standard Parameters, including one month working capital requirement/cash general fund, collection efficiency, current to all financial obligations to GENCOs, NGCP, and NEA, system loss of below 10.25%, and positive profitability before RFSC.
Out of 121 electric cooperatives nationwide, CAPELCO is one of 78 Green ECs. The NEA uses a color-coded grading system to evaluate electric cooperatives’ performance, with Green indicating exceptional performance, followed by Yellow, Orange, and Red.
During the meeting, AGM Diaz expressed gratitude to employees for their vital roles in maintaining the cooperative’s achievements. The meeting also covered new organizational memorandums, policies, and plans to address consumer concerns.
