CAPELCO Conducts On-the-Job Training for Students Under SEMA Program

The Capiz Electric Cooperative (CAPELCO) recently hosted an orientation for students from Capiz State University (CAPSU) for on-the-job training (OJT) under the Socialized Energization for Marginalized Applicants (SEMA) program.
Led by Engr. Renato G. Jison ,Institutional Services Department (ISD) Manager and Mr. Denver F. Albao, CPA, LPT, MSD Supervisor, these students being oriented will have a training focused on actual wiring installations in residences of SEMA beneficiaries. The OJT program allows students to gain practical experience in wiring installations, equipping them with valuable skills for their future careers. CAPELCO’s partnership with CAPSU underscores its dedication to fostering the next generation of professionals in the energy sector.
The SEMA program is a flagship initiative of CAPELCO aimed at providing affordable and safe electric service connections to marginalized communities. The program includes housewiring installation and energization, with costs amortized monthly through beneficiaries’ regular bills.
