The CAPELCO family formally welcomed the year 2026 with a Thanksgiving Mass, marking a meaningful and prayerful start to the new year. Joined by the CAPELCO staff, area managers and employees, the celebration reflected the cooperativeโ€™s shared gratitude for the blessings received and its renewed commitment to service.
The Holy Mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Edcel Delfin, concelebrated with Rev. Ray Gabrielle Coronado Toledo. In his homily, Fr. Delfin emphasized the importance of humilityโ€”encouraging everyone to live simply, remain grounded, and be humble in receiving the many graces and blessings bestowed upon them. He also reminded the everybody to remain thankful for all that the year 2025 had offered, both the challenges that strengthened the organization and the successes that inspired growth.
Following the Mass, Acting General Manager Engr. Edgar Diaz conveyed his heartfelt message of appreciation to the entire CAPELCO workforce. He thanked all employees who contributed to meeting the cooperativeโ€™s targets, including tellers, meter readers, and office personnel. He also recognized the linemen, maintenance crew, and the Technical Services Department for their dedication and tireless efforts in ensuring reliable electric service and preventing power interruptions.
The Thanksgiving Mass served not only as a moment of reflection and gratitude but also as a reminder of unity, humility, and shared purpose as the CAPELCO family moves forward into another year of service to its member consumer owners and the community.
