As CAPELCO moves into a new year of service, its Heads of Offices takes a moment to recognize what truly drives the cooperative forward—its people, its values, and its results.
Leadership expressed sincere appreciation for the dedication and hard work of employees over the past years, emphasizing that CAPELCO’s progress is rooted in a shared commitment to “Love of Work,” doing what is right, and maintaining consistency. With the new year comes renewed purpose—new opportunities to strengthen our electric cooperative and improve service for its Member-Consumer-Owners.
This commitment is reflected in tangible accomplishments. CAPELCO successfully met its monthly collection targets, intensified its task force against pilferage, and maintained system loss below the allowable ceiling. Power reliability also improved, with reduced tripping incidents, particularly in upland areas, and fewer multiple power outages reported across the province.
Acting General Manager Engr. Edgar D. Diaz, during CAPELCO’s first AGM Meeting for 2026, shared a candid reflection on the challenges of leadership, particularly in addressing repeated violations despite regular reminders and meetings. He emphasized that upholding ethics and discipline is a shared responsibility across the organization. At the same time, he highlighted the importance of recognizing employees who demonstrated exemplary performance and integrity.
Ultimately, the collective realization among CAPELCO management and staff is clear: progress is sustained through unity, accountability, and genuine support for the cooperative’s mission.
