It has been a busy week for CAPELCO Officers who participated in the Regional Deliberation of Enhanced Integrated Computerized Planning Model (eICPM) organized and facilitated by the National Electrification Administration (NEA). This was introduced to “provide necessary guidance in determining the financial and technical requirements” of an electric cooperative (EC). This planning tool will also be used as basis in the preparation of EC’s Annual Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) programs and projects, structural and/or institutional development.
CAPELCO, being a regulated Cooperative under NEA, is required to submits its eICPM including its Annual Work Plan and must undergo a “rigorous and interactive” deliberations by NEA Technical Working Group before NEA’s approval. The final copy of this eICPM is to be submitted to NEA within sixty (60) days after the conduct of the workshop in compliance with NEA Memorandum 2015-001 and consistent with the provision of Section 5 of Republic Act 10531.
