Apart from feeding the children of Poblacion Tabuc, Mambusao, tokens composed of school supplies and other gifts were distributed to the beneficiaries. CAPELCO Team is led by Engr. Marlon A. Balbuena, Area Manager of Mambusao Area Office. Director Roel Roque A. Martinez, Board of Director for District VI (Jamindan and Mambusao) also graced the event.

June 8, 2024, Sitio Mait, Barangay Sto. Angel, Dumalag

Games, fun, foods and gifts best characterized the event today facilitated by Dumalag Area Office. CAPELCO Team is led by Mr. Dennis D. Figueroa, Area Manager of Dao Area Office with Director Manuel F. Farenas, Board of Director for District VII (Dumalag and Tapaz) also graced the event.

June 8, 2024, Aeta Community, Mt. Tag-ao, Tamulalod, Dumarao

The area office personnel of Dao selected the Aeta community at Mt. Tag-ao, Tamulalod Dumarao as the site for their feeding program bringing with them snacks by a popular food brand. School supplies were also distributed for the children. The team was led by Area Manager Welmer D. Degala and were assisted by Tamulalod Punong Barangay Hon. Jeremias Abalecio and BAPA Chairman Rodney Valencia.

PANITAN AREA OFFICE

June 8, 2024, Sitio Tipacla, Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Maayon

Fun and excitement not only for the children but to the accompanying parents as well was the gift brought by CAPELCO Panitan Area Office. Aside from the feeding activities, children were also presented with school supplies that they can use. CAPELCO team is headed by Area Manager Limwel D. Limjuco was assisted by local officials headed by Punong Barangay Hon. Rogen Diaz and scores of barangay volunteers.

PRESIDENT ROXAS AREA OFFICE

June 8, 2024, Barangay Poblacion, Pilar

It’s a joy seeing happy faces of children at Barangay Poblacion, Pilar after receiving free meals and gifts of school supplies. President Roxas Area Office chose Barangay Pobalcion as the venue of the supplemental feeding program that has brought happiness to the children. CAPELCO Team is led by Ms. Jennel V. Javellana, Area Manager of President Roxas Area Office. Director Mitchelle John B. Patricio, Board of Director for District III (Pilar and President Roxas) also graced the event which the barangay officials led by Punong Barangay Hon. Norberto Bonilla helped organize.

POSTER MAKING CONTEST

Eighteen Capiceño artists whose artworks are published in this post qualified for the poster making contest depicting CAPELCO’s history, CAPELCO today and CAPELCO in the future. These qualified artists are now undergoing the on-the-spot poster making at the Ground Floor of CAPELCO Burgos Office. The winner will be adjudged and announced later in the day.

CAPELCO POSTER MAKING CONTEST HAS A WINNER

June 8, 2024, CAPELCO Burgos Office, Roxas City

The 17 Capiceño artists who qualified showcased their creativity in the just-concluded On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest conducted by CAPELCO. This is in line with the 53rd Foundation Anniversary of CAPELCO and the contest was launched to determine the best artwork that captured CAPELCO’s journey in the last 53 years.
The winners are as follows:
1. Ms. Rochel Calinao, a college student, was declared as Champion,
2. Mr. Jero Patrolia, a freshman in the field of art contest won the Second Place and
3. Mr. Lloyd Develos, a veteran artist won the Third Place
The event served as a platform for these talented individuals to showcase their skills and create captivating visuals on a given theme ” The role of rural electrification in the community.” The contest showcased remarkable artistic prowess where the participating artist transformed simple artworks into powerful messages. It succeeded in attracting a diverse range of participants, including professional artists, students, and art enthusiasts. With a limited timeframe of roughly 6 hours to work on their masterpieces, the 17 participants were challenged to conceptualize, design, and execute their ideas with precision and creativity. Their visions came to life as they incorporated a variety of art techniques, such as painting, drawing, collages, and mixed media, on the designated posters.
Engr. Salvador A. Asis, BOD President, expressed his gratitude to the 17 artists who participated in the event and to all personnel who made great contribution for the success of the said event.
