The Capiz Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CAPELCO) successfully held its Christmas and Thanksgiving Celebration on December 20, 2025, at the Capiz Gym, Villareal Stadium, uniting officers and employees in gratitude, fellowship, and celebration.
Prior to the program, a Thanksgiving Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Rey Alfonso Telic. In his homily, he reminded everyone that each person is called to be a channel of blessings and salvation to others, setting a meaningful and reflective tone for the dayโ€™s activities.
The program officially opened with a Christmas Message from Engr. Edgar Diaz, Acting General Manager, who encouraged everyone to remain thankful for the many blessings received throughout the year. He highlighted CAPELCOโ€™s accomplishments since the start of 2025 and congratulated employees for their hard work and dedication to the cooperativeโ€™s success.
Board President Dir. Salvador Asis delivered the Thanksgiving Message, expressing his heartfelt gratitude for the strong teamwork among employees and the improvements achieved in CAPELCOโ€™s operations. He also assured everyone of the Boardโ€™s continued support for the organizationโ€™s goals and initiatives.
Special appreciation was given to the Task Force Kapatid contingents for extending assistance to sister electric cooperatives affected by typhoons, reflecting CAPELCOโ€™s spirit of service and unity.The celebration was further enriched by the Belen Making Contest participated in by six CAPELCO Area Offices, showcasing creativity and teamwork. The President Roxas Area Office emerged as the winner of the contest.
Adding color and excitement to the event were the raffle draws, which brought joy and anticipation among employees. The much-anticipated โ€œCAPELCO Got Talent 2025โ€ also highlighted the diverse talents of CAPELCO employees, with the Finance Services Department winning Champion, the Institutional Services Department as 1st Runner-up, and the Technical Services Department as 2nd Runner-up.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Engr. Jovencio Villagracia, who thanked everyone for their collective efforts throughout 2025 and inspired all to continue working together with dedication and unity.
